Nepal > Pokhara

September, 2012

We travelled to Pokhara, just 200km by road west of Kathmandu, but could take up to 8 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. We chose to fly, a no-brainer, by Buddha Air, no less.

Pokhara is the gateway to explore the Greater Himalaya of central Nepal, where the famed Annapurna mountains are.

Unfortunately, as the case in Kathmandu, the weather played havoc with our plan again, and we left Pokhara without sighting the mighty Himalayan peaks. Nevertheless Pokhara was a delightful city with 200k people, the second largest after Katmandu with 800k.

Please view our Pokhara slideshow below, preferably in HD 720p. Thanks!
